This playful approach initially alleviates the pressure, allowing presenters to draw on their existing skills and spontaneity in a creative way. PowerPoint-Karaoke is a popular method increasingly used in schools, team-building sessions, seminars, events, and parties.

PowerPoint-Karaoke is an improvisational game where participants deliver presentations using slide decks they have never seen before. The aim is to entertain, challenge improvisational skills, and encourage quick thinking.

Basic Gameplay

• Unseen Slides: Each presenter is shown a set of PowerPoint slides for the first time as they present. They are not allowed to preview or prepare for the content in advance.

• Improvised Presentation: The presenter must speak confidently and coherently, improvising a talk that attempts to connect the slides into a logical or entertaining story, regardless of how random, nonsensical, or challenging the content may be.

• No Skipping: All slides must be presented in order, and skipping slides is not allowed.

• Time or Slide Limit: Presentations typically end when all slides have been shown or after a set time limit (commonly around 6-8 minutes).

• Audience or Judge Voting: After all presenters have finished, the audience or a panel of judges votes for the best performance, often based on criteria like confidence, creativity, entertainment value, and how well the presenter ties the slides together.

Types of Slide Decks

• Random or Nonsensical: Slides may be a mix of unrelated images, graphs, or text, often designed to be confusing or humorous.

• Real Topics: Sometimes, decks are based on real topics but are still unfamiliar to the presenter.

In KAPOPO Premium, we offer a maximum of 5 PowerPoint karaoke presentations per month for offline use. To do this, you select the desired presentations via a special menu and send us a request. You will then shortly receive an e-mail to download the selected presentations. Please note that it can take up to 48 hours for the presentations to be available for download. The presentations offered offline are then only available for a limited time and cannot be edited.

We do not currently offer this function. The pool of PowerPoint-Karaoke presentations is curated by us to ensure that no illegal, in particular criminal, violent, extremist, pornographic, denigrating or privacy-infringing content or harmful software is uploaded.

You are welcome to send us presentations or ideas for topics. However, we will then edit the presentations again before we upload them. There is no entitlement to upload them. However, we are very happy to receive ideas and presentation topics and will check whether we can implement them.

We offer 3 free presentations at KAPOPO Basic to give you an insight into PowerPoint karaoke. This gives you the opportunity to test the platform and familiarize yourself with PowerPoint karaoke without getting the full scope of our presentations. Here, too, you already have some useful functions at your disposal, such as: random generator from the presentation pool, drawing function in the presentations, quiz function at the end of the presentation and no registration is necessary.

This limitation allows us to grow sustainably and continuously improve the platform through premium memberships such as KAPOPO Premium.

We reserve the right to temporarily replace the existing presentations for certain campaigns or to increase the number of free presentations.

New presentations are regularly published on the portal to provide variety and entertainment. Our aim is to add new content every few weeks to keep you challenged.

Desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones or even on a smart TV, smartboard or whiteboard. Simply access the platform via a supported browser. Of course, combinations can also be used by transferring the screen to another device such as a projector or TV.

Click on “My account” at the top of the menu. You will be taken to your account overview and can log out here using the log out button.

If some buttons are not displayed correctly, it may be that your browser is not up to date. We have noticed this particularly with Smartboards. Please check whether you have an up-to-date browser version installed. From the following browser versions everything should be displayed and work:
